Clay soil movement adds stress at vulnerable points beneath a slab.
Clay-bearing ground around Impact shifts between dry and wet conditions. That movement puts added strain on buried pipe where it runs below a concrete slab or passes into it, particularly at points that cannot move as freely as the surrounding soil.
A warm patch of floor, damp flooring, moisture near the foundation, or unexplained water use does not prove that a line is leaking under the slab. Each can have another explanation. We establish whether the source is actually beneath the foundation and identify the affected line before choosing how to repair it.
The right repair depends on what we find. A reachable failed section may be addressed directly, while another situation may call for rerouting the line. Where the remaining under-slab piping is in similar condition to the failed section, the smallest immediate repair is not always the option that holds up best over time.
